Beads are made by hand and one by one. Quite fascinating to see and we could also buy bracelets, necklaces and beads. Now we are soon at Ada, we all have memories bathing and having fun so we will do that as well.

4 hours late due to broken down car
4 hours late due to broken down car we are now leaving Brenu Beach towards Akosombo. Who knows what time we will arrive.
We did arrive and not too late either but a bit too late to enjoy the location at Afrikiko hotel at Akosombo. Tomorrow we will enjoy a lot more things and also travel toawrds Ada, where I got my bilharzia (that still troubles me and I have issues with) and actually go for a swim there too.
At arrival we met William Pattisson that does remember me for many things, among others for bringing some stolen (from my dad)
Todays trip took us to Takoradi and to the former Portugese fort, Fort Sao Antonio
Todays trip took us to Takoradi and to the former Portugese fort, fort Sao Antonio. After that we went on a terrible bush road (similar to the ones they had here when we lived here) to Green Turtle Lodge where we all swam in the Atlantic Ocean. The bush road was through some villages. One hours drive till we will be back at Brenu Beach Resort for more lobster dinner.

We have also visited Elmina Castle and are now enjoying the Atlantic Ocean’s seabreeze after a lovely lobster dinner.

Coco pod, kentecloth, wooden carvings
A long day and at least 1 hour still to get back to the hotel. We have been in Kumasi, the Open Air market, the Kente weaveri, the wooden carvings and also made our own pattern on kente cloth. Today we have all bought really nice things.
And yes, the coco stuff around the coco bean tasted just as I remembered.

Bilresan tog hela dagen, nu sitter vi vid vattnet och hör vågorna vd Lake Wosumtwi. Insmorda med myggmedel sitter vi här och skrattar åt dagens strapatser.
